Welcome to Rise Up Creations. I’m Cass, a photographer based in Elmhurst, Illinois, and this blog is my way of sharing more than just pictures. It’s about stories, moments, and connection. I want this to be a place where you get to know the heart behind the lens and maybe even reflect on your own journey along the way.
Photography wasn’t always part of my plan. It started out simple, something I enjoyed on the sidelines of basketball games and quiet family moments. But over time, something shifted. I began to realize that these photos weren’t just images. They were memories, emotions, and energy, frozen in time. They meant something. And I wanted to give that gift to others.
I’ve spent more than 20 years teaching in Elmhurst classrooms, and I’ve loved helping students grow and find their path. But now, as I move closer to a new chapter in my life, I find myself drawn to photography with that same sense of purpose. There’s something special about seeing a senior’s pride during their graduation shoot, a family’s laughter during a golden hour session, or the fire in a young athlete’s eyes during a game. These are the moments that matter.
